HI guys, I have decided to sell my Oro as I have another project....
The bike is in perfect conditions, and the engine has been upgraded with an 800cc…. this job was made directly at MV Factory not at a local mechanic.. (I have all the documentation / certificate signed )
As far as I know this is the only Oro in the world certified with this engine !!!
Anyway here are some details:
MV Agusta F3 Serie Oro
071/200
Year: 08/02/2012
Km: 5500 (but the 800cc engine has only made 750Km!)
Theese are all the aftermarket bits I have put on:
-Engine upgrade with 800cc (Slipper Clutch-Transmission-Pistons-Piston rods-Drive Shaft.......)
-Carbon heel guard
-Carbon under seat cover with gold mesh
-Carbon tail V piece
-Front/rear clear indicator lenses
-MV Corse Racing Air filter
I have all the documentation of the bike and every single original bit that has been changed!
For any other info please fell free to contact me
Ciao
Marco

Hey Marco
How's it going ?.. Do you still come over to the UK and do you still keep in touch with the guys at Potters Bar?
Sorry to hear you're selling the Oro, but a very special bike like yours should sell easy..
What are you putting the money of the Oro sale into and can you reveal what this project is going to be..
Good luck

Marco, do you know if your bike is emissions legal in California? In the States all MV bikes have a certified California emissions sticker but not sure if the EU bikes are different.

Falkdal,
I can tell you that it would be a major headache trying to get this bike road legal in Cali. I'm from the bay area and have been down that road before. In honesty when I saw the bike pop up for sale I wanted to jump on it but then was brought back to earth when I realized I resided in the stupidest state.
First, the EU bikes are not held to the same emissions standards as the states. In any other state thats not to big of a problem but because of CalCarb it is in Cali. Second, any bike that was not originally sold & originally titled in Cali must have 7500 miles on it or the DMV won't let you register it.

To be honest Falkdal I wouldn't know if the bike will be road legal in US, it is completely legal here in Europe...Maybe its worth asking somebody if you are interested ;-)
Cobraking having 7500 miles on the clock would be easy to solve ;-)))))

He's right about the 7500 miles thing. But that's for out if states bikes, not sure about out of the country bikes. Maybe a letter from mv factory confirming that the emissions equipment on the euro model and the USA model are identical might help getting it past carb. You would need to talk to a broker that has experience importing vehicles.

Yes a broker would be the right person... In the meantime I'll try to find out any news regarding Co2 emissions...

Not entirely. I looked at bringing in a daytona from Arizona before I found my B3. If the vehicle has <7500 miles it is considered "new" according to California. There is nothing preventing you from registering it in the state aside from a few checks. The first thing that they check for and the first thing this bike will fail on is the 50 state emissions legal sticker. Obviously a euro bike isnt going to have a California emissions compliance sticker on it. It's also worth keeping in mind that while the paperwork may say you can bring a non CA bike into CA, it's not uncommon for the morons at the CA DMV to ignore parts of the paperwork and decide the bike isnt allowed in.
IMO the risk of purchasing an out of state bike, let alone an Oro from overseas, is far to high to make it a possibility.
So basically yes, the bike can be brought in according to the paperwork, but it would be a huge hassle with the possibility of having a very special bike that you cant use.
